Breeders' Futurity
To be held in conjunction with the Paint World show, the breeders’
futurity is a new feature to the APHA's prestigious Breeders' Trust
program. The futurity offers a selection of classes designed to promote
offspring of Breeders' Trust stallions and mares bred to those
stallions who are also nominated to the Breeders' Trust.
2009 foals born from these stallions and nominated mares are eligible
to compete in weanling classes at the 2009 show. Each year the futurity
will add classes and grow with the eligible generations of foals.
The futurity plans to pay back 95% of the purse to the foal owner and
5% to the mare nominator in gold, silver, and bronze divisions.
