The world championship quarter horse show is to be held in Oklahoma
City, OK this year. Quarter horses from all over the country will come
together at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds for two weeks of showing.
Approximately $500,000 will be added for the 2009 show from AQHA
corporate partners and AQHA will add $600,000 in prize money spread
over 94 classes. A total of $2.7 million in cash and awards is up for
grabs at this year's show.
This horse show boasts classes for competing amateur and open
exhibitors. Everyone showing to win a coveted "World Champion" title
for themselves and their horses.
Not showing this year but planning on taking a trip to the show
grounds? General admission to the show will cost you $7 and reserved
seating will cost you $10.
Each year at the AQHA World Championship Show, visitors can stop by the
consignment sale for new show prospects. This year the sale will be
held in Barn 3 of the fairgrounds November 14-15.
The trade show is to be held in conjunction with the 2009 AQHA World
